goMoorhead - A letter from the President

Dear Valued 702 Communications/GoMoorhead Customers:

Thank you for continuing your GoMoorhead wireless Internet service during the transition from GoMoorhead to 702 Communications. The future of this service is bright, and I want to let you know what’s in store:

First, let me assure you that 702 Communications has no intention of raising the price of this service. We plan to operate the service, improve the network, and strengthen the coverage based on current subscriber fees with zero price increases.

702 Communications acquired the assets of GoMoorhead.com from Moorhead Public Service just over a month ago. Since then we’ve been busy assessing the network’s strengths and weaknesses, developing and implementing a plan for addressing challenges and integrating GoMoorhead billing into the 702 Communications system.

We have now completed integration of billing, so all former GoMoorhead accounts are now billed through the 702 Communications system. You should have received your first 702 billing just prior to receiving this letter. We have made every effort to make this a seamless conversion. However, there is always the possibility for mistakes. If you find an error or have a question, please contact us at 284-5702 and a customer service representative will assist you.

As part of our purchase, it was necessary to relocate GoMoorhead network equipment and system routing through our office. This was completed during the third week of September. The move went well with only minor interruptions of service.

Our company is pleased to inform you of the first upgrades to the network. With the help of customers like you and our own testing, 702 identified 20 access points that we can easily upgrade to provide better Internet access. These upgrades are now underway. Weather permitting, we plan to have them all completed before the end of the year. We understand there are still areas of town where the service can be improved. Once we have completed this first round of upgrades and assessed their full effect on the network, we will be able to more effectively plan further upgrades.
